Hello,

I am a Med2 who along with another student has organized a student committee which is looking into why medical school costs are rising much faster than inflation and ways we can stop this trend. We have made some progress with the legislature and our University's governing body but have seen no real results yet. I am interested to see if there are any other students out there who have taken up this issue and what they are doing about it.

Just let me know.

Just an idea --

If you're looking for a realistic short term goal, try getting tuition frozen for four years.

This was done at Hopkins, and it's a blessing for those of us who would otherwise worry about tuition hikes and budget considerations.

Have you come up with any causes, other than needing more $$$ to bail out, or keep their teaching hospitals afloat?
