Ok, so I finished the Tulane Secondary today. I am reading the letter they sent me and it says I should attach a copy of my most recent MCAT scores to my secondary. Well, I took the MCAT in August and I still don't have my scores. Does this mean I have to wait 2 more weeks to send it? Or can I send it like it is and then send the copy of the scores separately? Or should I just call them and ask? Anyone on the same boat?

Appreciate all the help! Like 8 secondaries down...a million and one to go!!! :scared:

Send it in now. AMCAS will send them your scores automatically when they are ready.

just curious, what do they want you to attach? The actual score report? Where do you get that from? Dont they already have it through AMCAS?

One more thing to remember.....they want a paper copy of your AMCAS too ... I didn't send it and got an email scolding me about it saying Yo *******..did u read the instructions or what 😀
I ended up sending it in ..... for your score report ... send it in when it is available on THX system ....but go ahead and send the secondary now... they are slow in responding if the file is complete or not.

:luck:

Hah! I guess I didn't read that part either...I know Tufts wants a copy of your AMCAS also..which makes no sense to me...but whatever...thanks for the tip! 🙂

I think you should double check your letter from Tulane. Looking at mine, it states "You should also include a copy of the MCAT socre you attained on your most recent MCAT exam if those scores are not contained in your AMCAS application"
Our score go right on the application, so I really do not think you need to send in MCAT scores, or your printed AMCAS application.

Well, my MCAT score isn't anywhere cuz I took it in August...and reading the instructions on the first page of the secondary application, it does say to include a copy of AMCAS... 🙁

Well, obviously you can't send what you don't have. Your file won't be complete and won't be reviewed until all your supporting documents are received (including your MCAT scores). You can mail everything that you have...your secondary app, the copy of your amcas app, and your picture.
Send the MCAT score when it arrives. Make a copy of it and mail that in.

I can't remember how long it took for the April paper results to arrive in the mail, but I'm sure a printout from MCAT THx should suffice.

I would assume it would be better to have my file 95% complete now versus 100% two weeks from now. Call the admissions office...they're very friendly/untimidating.

here is what it says:

" As a safeguard against unforeseen circumstances with the electronic transmission from AMCAS, we ask that, when sending your secondary application, you include a copy of your AMCAS application and a copy of your MCAT scores if they are not included with your AMCAS application. "

I take this to mean that if they are not printed in the Scores section of the AMCAS printout then you must send a copy of your score report to them when you recieve it. Anyone see it differently?
