If anybody has used the student hosts the night before at Tulane, how was the experience? I am interviewing there next month and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to stay with the students. Thanks

I used student hosting program when i interviewed and ended up becoming very good friends with him. It was cool b/c when i started school here, i had someone i could talk to about classes, places to eat, shop. Also its one avenue to meeting other people in that class.

I am involved with the student hosting program as well...seeing that I had such a good experience with mine.

I signed up for the student host program for my interview at Tulane next month but haven't heard a response yet.

So our hosts won't pick us up at the airport?

I have this sudden urge to respond whenever I see the name, Tulane. 🙂

First off, congrats on your interview invite! Tulane's a great school and I am practically a walking advertisement for them since September... As for the student host option - definitely take it! They'll fill you in on the general gist of the school the night before so you'll have enough info to ask intelligent questions to Dr. Pisano the next morning.

My host was fantastic - she even gave me her queen size bed to sleep in while she slept on the couch! They are, however, not required to pick you up from the aeropuerto. The ride from the airport is only 13 bucks (ridiculously cheap by Cali standards).

Good luck!!!

Thanks, guys. I'm definately signing up for the student host. (crosses fingers in hope of acceptance)
