Tulane vs Stony Brook

Hi everyone! Would love to hear your thoughts!

Tulane

Pros:

• urban, much more lively
• more prestigious from what my mentors tell me
• strong match in fields I am interested in
• more national (and strong) match list, I would want to match on either coast which Tulane does well
• more diverse patient population

Cons:

• not sure if they have class rank but I think they do
• older facilities
• Expensiveeeee

SBU

Pros:

• close to NYC
• hospital is well established in LI, facilities seemed newer
• closer to home (new england region)
• match well, but mostly in the NY area
• can pay in-state tuition after M1

Cons:

• location
• less diverse patient population
• steps taken together after M3

After much back and forth, I think I know which direction I'm leaning but I would love to hear any thoughts! Thank you
