Hey guys,

I just got a new Tungsten E2 and whenever I turn it off after having used Epocrates, it gets a fatal error and I have to reset it. There was a support issue update about this on Epocrates' website that had instructions and basically said reinstall it, but I've done that more than 5 times already with no luck. Anyone else have any insight on this? It's making me miss my old good and reliable Clie.

Just bought the new Tungsten E2 as well. It is the newest in a long list of PDA's= Palm III, casseopia, original Ipaq, palm m505, Sony NX710, tungsten T, Tungsten T3, Treo 600 and now the E3. I consider myself to be addicted to "gadgets" as my wife calls them 😀 .
I just spent an hour trying to get epocrates on my E2!!! 😡
If you search their site it has new software for the E2 (just for windows at this time they are still working on the Mac version. 👎
Just go to this page and look for the mention at the top about the E2:

This is my first post so hello to everyone!!

drj400m,

You said you tried getting epocrates for an hour, were you having the same trouble as I did with the fatal errors? I tried hot sync-ing their new installation file (6th time), but I still get the same problems. Do you think I have a defective unit? I even tried wiping the memory and it still didn't work. I knew I should have gotten the regular Tungsten E 🙁

What type of computer are you using: Windows or Mac?
If windows and still getting problem you might try calling or e-mailing epocrates and if that doesn't work return the unit.

😀
I got it to work now!
The problem was that my Epocrate's account was linked to the older version that isn't compatible with the Tungsten E2. As a last ditch effort I created a new ID and password and redownloaded (what seemed to be the same file again), but this time it worked! 🙂

Thanks for the help!
