For me, the silence has been deafening. I completed the primary in mid-July and the secondaries went in around the start to middle of August.

At this point I have heard NOTHING from any school. Do they wait to send the flat-out rejections at the end of the cycle? I understand they may cherry-pick at the start of the cycle. BTW, I would be considered an "underdog". Non-trad Federal Agent, 26Q, 3.1 sGPA 3.3GPA, BIO/ANTH undergrad from major University, diverse work experience with heavy responsiblities and hours, hospice volunteer, D.O. shadowing hours, etc...

Really, I'm just curious as to both the experiences (and timelines) of more experienced applicants WITH interviews and also wanted to see if there are others equally anxious to hear ANY RESULT AT ALL... seriously... anything!

ETA: Oh yeah, I lurk here daily. But I guess I have never posted. So.. Hi!

My situation is similar and I just got my first invite this week. The silence while agonizing can be thought of with a "no news is good news" attitude at this point since schools are not shy about sending "Thank you for your interest, however..." correspondences to those who plainly do not meet standards of admission.

Hang in there, it's a long haul.

Which schools have you applied to?

My husband has your same GPAs and MCAT (different writing score) and hasn't heard anything either. He's also non-trad. So I'm pulling for you!

your stats are good enought to get you a coupleof interviews if you have applied broadly.
Please ask the schools if your secondaries are complete or there is anything missing (lor etc)

I applied pretty broadly in order to cast my net as wide as possible. I guess it will just be a wait and see thing then.

Thanks.

Keep checking the interview invite thread, seems there are a couple of schools who haven't sent many or any interview invitations yet:

I feel you....

Especially when seeing everyone else get invites on here.

Maybreak, where did you go to undergrad? I also have a bio/anth degree and didn't know there were others out there lol. My stats are 3.05 gpa with a 3.87 graduate gpa and 30 MCAT. I got an interview at lecom-b about 1 week after I was complete but am waiting and have been waiting for a while everywhere else.
