So I have a little discouraging news but I figured anyone on the wait-list might be interested...all wait-listers (IS, OOS, contract) are all in the same pool and we aren't allowed to know our ranks. I don't know how much the list typically moves nor do I know how long the list is, but I've already asked Amy a million questions so if anyone else has any info please share 🙂 Good luck to my fellow wait-listers...I was also told that it could be as late as July to hear something...

Amy told me there are around 30 people on the waitlist!!!We may not know til as late as June. I'm not counting on anything, even though I have a feeling Tuskegee isn't most people's first choice and some spots will open....that is a lot of people. Plus I wonder how they're ranked....

I really have a feeling that not all the acceptances are out yet for a couple of reasons. Only 4 people have signed up with our class facebook page and the amount of people posting in the acceptance threat. Also, a lot of people have not heard back yet so that makes me hopeful that another batch is coming in the mail next week. Keep me posted you guys and good luck!!!

when i e-mailed amy the middle of last week she said most of the acceptance letters had been mailed however there were still a couple left to be sent....have rejections gone out yet?

I have no idea :/ I just know a lot of people have not heard yet..hopefully waitlisters will get some good news soon!!!

I know that people who interviewed for SERP have not heard back yet. I think that when they send out those letters, everyone else will find out. FYI a person who did SERP last year told me that even though you did not interview for SERP, there is still a chance that they will place you in it. I have a friend who is waiting on his letter for SERP, so when he hears back from them I will let everyone know. 😉

futuredvm, have you chosen MS over TU? congratulations and good luck!

Yeah I have..TU was always my dream school...I didn't intend to apply to my instate school but I did and got accepted..so instate tuition is what I'm going with...TU would be there for me when I'm looking at residency in a couple of years..its a great school n I'm sad that i have to give it up🙁

Do they have a residency program?

They are getting one or they already have one for pathology. Pathology is one of the fields in which TU is known for.

Just letting everyone know that today TU sent out more acceptances.

i interviewed for SERP, but got a letter last week saying im an alternate. i was confused so i asked Amy. she said that after my interview the admissions committee found that i did not need to complete SERP and that i am waitlisted for direct admission. at first i thought this was a good thing, but now that i see there are around 30 people waitlisted, i would imagine im pretty low on that list since i was originally just a candidate for SERP. im wondering which option has a better chance at getting a seat, since there are a few definite ones reserved for the top SERP students. i dont even know what to think anymore! =/

Wannabevet1 - In my opinion, it is a great thing that you are on the alternate list! I contacted Amy yesterday to make sure she got my payment and she let me know that 15 others have sent in their money. This is great for you considering there are 30 on the waitlist, they need to fill a class of 70, and the deadline for us to get our deposit in is by April 30th. I bet many of you on the waitlist will hear great news after that date :] The only thing that would upset me about going from SERP to waitlist is that it would then be out of my hands where SERP you are more able to decide your own fate. Good luck!!!!!

jradjsb - Where did you decide to go? Congratulations by the way!!!

Bmball, thanks. I decided to go to Auburn. TU is a great school and loved the people there, but AU just seemed to fit me.

Jradjsb - that's terrific! I am going to live in Auburn. Good luck!!!

Thanks bmball for the info! Gives me a little hope 🙂 I'm trying to stay positive but I just got my waitlist number for my IS and it wasn't very good 🙁

Just to answer a few concerns that I read... the admissions process is still going on!!! SERP people you probably won't hear anything until May (I didn't hear until 2 weeks before I was supposed to be here). Just so you guys understand how the numbers work, bc I wish someone had explained it to me, they typically have 70 spots, a few of those will already be taken by people having to repeat, a few will be filled by re-admits, a few will be filled by past SERP participants and the last people to fill spots will be this summers SERP class.

For those of you on the wait-list I wish I had an idea of how they do it, but good best of luck to all of you!!

I was an alternate and I just heard back today and I'm in! Yay! Paperwork to complete and a bunch of stuff to figure out (housing, loans etc) but yay!
