Hey I've just been accepted to TUSPM and the one thing I know wasn't covered during my interview day was this new schedule/curriculum that's supposedly coming out for the incoming class. Can any current Temple students shed some light on this topic?

If you can:
1. Describe your day/week
2. Is there a block schedule?

Also to you first/second year students at Temple, if you live in the graduate housing, do you love/regret choosing this option? Little of both? Upsides/Downsides? I'm still iffy as to where I'd live and would like some opinions on the housing options.

Thanks guys

Well I'm a 2nd year and the thing I like the most is that the classes have more tests in them, so that 1 or 2 tests isn't going to determine if you flunk or pass. As far as a day goes, 1st years have labs and that takes up longer time, 2nd years don't start stuff like podiatric surgery until late November, so a day is just there is class (if you want to go) then studying and doing whatever.

I live in the graduate housing and I like it just fine. The money from it comes out of my financial aid before I get the refund so I don't worry about it too much. It's okay for me to live in. We get our own room and bed and we have stove, fridge, couch, etc. It's not the Ritz but it's not dog**** either.

First off thanks a lot for taking the time to reply! And also sorry, because I'm about to bombard you with a bunch of questions lol

Did you think it was worth it to live in graduate housing as opposed to a nearby apartment? Does graduate housing have a no alcohol policy? Did you make a lot of friends living there? Do the bathrooms you share have one sink or two?

Do most people study at home or are there places on campus suitable for quiet study?

Have you heard anything about this new change in curriculum being implemented next fall?

Thanks for replying!

I think it was worth it because I never had to worry about paying for it; it came from financial aid. Graduate housing allows you alcohol in your apartment but not in the common areas like the hallways. I never bothered to try to make friends but that was me; I guess you could in class or something.

Bathrooms have a sink in the hallway outside of the bathroom. Most people study at home but we do have a library and some quiet study rooms also.
The new curriculum change has happened already. First years now have biochemistry first semester and microbiology 2nd semester. So it goes like this

1st= anatomy, histology, neurophysiology, physiology, biochemistry
2nd semester= LEA, microbiology, neuroanatomy, some other stuff
