Two for price of one trip...

I received an interview at Northwestern up in Chicago but I haven't heard back from UIC yet. I wanted to get both interviews done on the same trip (assuming UIC even wants to interview me). However, my status at UIC is "applicant in process" or something along those lines. Do you guys think I should just call UIC and see if they'll take a look at my file and see if I could get an interview around the same time?
