Two questions about rec letters

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
1. Do any schools require 3 science req letters? I know the majority requires 2, has anyone experienced being required to submit 3?

2. My advisor and boss is a professor and I took a grad level science class with him. It was only 2 units but it went on my transcript and it's a legitimate class in the biomedical department. Can his letter now count as a science professor letter as well as advisor/boss?

Thanks in advance!

1) I only had 2 science letters and I was fine. Although maybe someone else knows of a school that requires 3 rec letters...
2) Yeah, I had a similar situation and it was no problem

Thanks!

Anybody else have a different experience?

At most schools, I would say 2 science letters would satify their requirements. Some schools, however, require one from each science department at your schools. I can only think of one or two schools that require 3 letters from each science department.
