As a small piece of trivia: If you complete 30 hours of coursework in your first year but still fail a course, you won't be able to receive your pharmacist-intern license by virtue of not completing your first year.
But yes, to echo what TTUMike said, you have to 1.) Complete your first year of pharmacy school and 2.) Have a pharmacist-intern license before you can work as a pharmacist-intern. Chances are, you'll do the paperwork for your pharmacist-intern license during your second semester and so you'll be able to work as an intern starting the summer between your first and second year of pharmacy school.
Until then, you can only work as a technician.
