Hi,
I am an MSII and I am thinking seriously about going into ophthalmology. At the begining of my first year, I thought I wanted to do Ortho, but I have changed my mind because I lately realized that I decided on Ortho because of its reputation and not because it is something that I really like. In my first year, I got involved in a lot of ortho research and one of the papers I worked on might get published. I am also the president of the Ortho club at my school. Anyway, I am wondering how the Ophth. residency committe would feel about all these activities when I say that I now want to do Opth? Is that considered a bonus or would it show that I am not really interested in Opth. When I apply later, should I even mention that I was the president of the Ortho club?
Any comment would help. Good luck to everyone on the Match!
Thanks.😕
