I'm asking for a friend because myself I'm not heading to medical school anymore 🙂

I know my previous school and from talking to 8 other friends at various semester schools, their 1 year of biology they have to take to meet premedical requirements is a two semester course covering one entire textbook: BIOLOGY by Campbell (7th edition).

I am at a quarter school who covers that entire book in two quarters, which is only 2/3 of a year. Would that cover that 1 year of biology premedical requirement since you cover the exact same material as a semester school does in 1 year, we just do it in less time? Or, do quarter kids get "screwed" and have to take an additional biology course?

Thanks 🙂

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the quarter kids get screwed and have to take three quarters of biology. Dunno why, but thats how I read it on just about all the admissions pages I ever looked at.

An extra screwed because we do a year long course in 20 weeks instead of 30 weeks and on top of that have to take an upper division course.

On the bright side... we learn more? 😕😛
