Hi,
Have you been invited for an interview at UMinnesota ? If so when is the interview ? Did they send an e-mail or a postal mail ? Could you kindly post your stats so that others can have an idea regarding their chances ?

They called saying that letter has been mailed for interview on Oct 24. My stats 93/3.5/108. If anyone else is going, or anyone living in Minneapolis, do you know which motel/hotel would be cheap to stay in for 1 night and is well connected to the university by public transport? dont have any idea about Minneapolis 🙁

i too received a call from the minnesota school confirming my interview on 25nd oct...anyone having interview on the same day?

In my opinion u a have a good overall stat..i know tht it is a norm tht a score above 90 will have better chances...but as far as my knowledge from the previous posts where candidates have been selected with scores below 90 too....and thts bcoz schools do not jus look at the part 1 scores only...but the overall personality of a candidate....I m sure there must be something exceptional in u and try to focus tht on ur personal statement and resume..Apply to as many schools as possible u can so tht u dont feel u missed tht chance....all the best

Congratulations..can you tell me if there is any bench exam as well or just an interview.
 
does any one has an idea how many seats does minnesota has for the international dentist program, if I apply now am I too late????😕
 
no bench test at UMN.

Minnesota has 6 seats last year. I am not sure abt this year.Minnesota has rolling admissions. so, better to apply as early as u can. Hope this helps.

I am new here and confused about my stats...I read all the posted stats and I was wondering where I stand...

If someone can help me I will really appreciate the help.
My stats : nb 1 - 87
nb 2 - 76
ece - 4.0
toefl - (cbt) 263..
I have 1 year of experience in India and 4 months in US are a volunteer., I also received a gold medal in India.

I have send applications to llu, uop, bu, upenn

do I stand any chance to be called for interviews?

Please help me..... I will appreciate all the help.....I am totally frustated as to what to do...
 
Thanks vitadent and net, I appreciate your reply, do you think its wise to spend 65$ now, they just have 6 seats, I must be already late if it has rolling admissions. Please give wise suggestions, I dont know how I missed this university
 
it is ok. they just started their pass program this April or May. so lots of ppl don't know about it yet. they may increase the seat number to somewhere around 10, but not sure. you still have good chance to apply for it. $65 is not that bad compared to other schools having over $100 application fee.

i have a doubt abt minnesota application ,can i send in my copy of nbde original score report coz minnesota does not ask for official reports to be sent by the boards?
also my ece report has been opened can i send that or are they particular abt sending a sealed report.
anybody whose applied to minnesota if you could pls clear my doubts would be very grateful

Hi,

You CAN and SHOULD send only a copy of your NBDE , ECE and TOEFL scores to them...but make sure they are notarized copies with original notary seal.... infact they have mentioned that if our scores are sent directly from NBDE or ECE or TOEFL they will not accept ....

so just send them original notarized copies of all your score reports...this works out to be easy, cheap and convinient...

err......but I saw their application deadline as 31 Jan for program starting in May.......

Best facilities available...all personal qs as in interview feedback section....no difference with UPenn in the program since made by the same grt guy.

How are you doing? Congratulations for your uni of Minnesota interview.How was your calif interview? Have you heard from upen yet? Cause they already have send couple of acceptances ,although they told us that they will send the ist acceptances in November.May be they are sending the acceptances to the reapplicants this month,as many of them are reapplicants so far i know.Feeling very tense.Good luck.

I got into U of M last year. Last year they had 6 positions. This year I believe there are 10 positions. The interview process is just like U Penn. No clinical stuff. Just personal questions. So be yourself.
The program is very good. They have summer course of 2 mths or so. Then in the fall they integrate you with the regular D-3 batch. It is busy right now. But my experience has been very good. The faculty is very nice and approachable. The other students are also extremely helpful. Dr. Berthold... the Program Director is awesome. He really is an excellent mentor.

hey...nobody has been accepted yet to the 2007 batch.........they have just started interviewing 2 weeks back.....only 3 or 4 batches have attended interviews......

hi, why don't you directly apply the special program of IED in MNN? After evaluation you can take part in the clinical test and get your license.
