Just thought I would start a thread for all of those accepted to Detroit Mercy for the class of 2012. I went to check out the new school today and it is looking good, I am getting pretty excited to start come august!

Yay! Detroit Mercy here I come! I am excited to see the new school too...does anyone know carol Blackburns email? I am suppose to contact her to arrange a tour on the new school. If not, it's OK I'll just try calling admissions. But back to the excitement...DETROIT MERCY ROCKS!

Yes I am interational, I am from Canada. But I am from a border city, so I am literally one hour from the new school! I got in Dec. 1st with a call from Karin.
My stats aren't like everyone else on here, I actually have a average GPA and DAT scores, but I was fortunate enough to get an interview and I think I really impressed them there. The interview was very easy and just a conversation with a prof more or less. I had 3 other interviews, and this was by far the easiest. Personal msg me if you have any other questions, I hope to help!

As for everyone else, I can't wait to meet everyone, and am looking forward to 4 years with you guys. Has anyone started to look for housing? If so, let me know....

Hey,

yes I started looking into housing. Though I techn ically could live at home and commute everyday as I have been doing for the past 4 years...I think my days of road rage need to come to an end. lol

I'm looking at condos/lofts/appartments. Depending on how much you're willing to spend, I can let you know about some common places where med students stay and you can check out the websites. Just let me know.

Thanks! Looking forward to it as well. For those of you that are out of state...I currently live about 50 minutes from the school. If you need a place to crash while house/apt hunting, I can accommodate you for a few days. PM me if you're interested.
