University of Detroit Mercy Dental Class of 2029 Interview/Acceptance Thread

Congrats on the call!! Just wondering if they mentioned anything about the Vermont cohort?
He didn't say anything in that regard over the call. I'm still waiting for the email package so I'll know maybe once I get that.

Does anyone know what the tuition is year to year? I'm only able to find a breakdown from a few years ago on Google and their acceptance email doesn't clarify either.

Got a rejection without interview on January 11. 😩My application was submitted and verified in June.
GPA (science, overall): 3.48 sGPA, 3.64 cGPA
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17):
23/23/19/25/no

damn, decent stats.
what were you experiences? Volunteer? shadow? etc

Would people get acceptance calls today?

Has anyone gotten a call/email for acceptance today?

Also, I received an “are you still interested” email today for being on the waitlist/alternate list. It says that to remain on the list no further action is required. Is it good practice to respond at all to the email? Or would that be unnecessary

Did anyone who interviewed the 11th hear anything today? I thought we were supposed to.

I interviewed pre-December. But do u know how many people interviewed on the 11th? That was the only interview date for after December right? I think they did some virtual too

Just a follow up, if no waitlisted people have gotten off yet then we should be fine for us who just interviewed. They said it would happen the same day fwik

I read somewhere that UDM sends out A LOT more offers of admission than seats available. Is this really true?

I've been working as a dental hygienist, temping as well, so I got experience working at many different offices. Recent volunteering experience at a nonprofit dental clinic (I go monthly). I also have Give Kids A Smile coming up next month. Guess I'm just unlucky here!

I saw some people getting accepted of the WL yesterday. Does anyone know if they will be calling to accept students today as well?

Some wait lists may get cleared after February 13. It is the second deposit payment due date to secure seats, so some people may decline their seats.

Define 'cleared'- because there are two implications here

I think in both senses that people will be getting taken off the waitlist for being accepted at another school, and people will be accepted due to others declining their seat.

What is the class size? I see there are 57 members on the group me chat.

People have been rejected without interview. I think people who interviewed will get rejected mid February as they mentioned that in a session
which is right around the corner.

Maybe they'll just reject a few, given how they may've not even filled half of their seats.
