U of MN Letters of Rec ? Do they have any special form or requirements ?

Someone told me that U of MN has special requirements for letters of rec.

Is this true ?

No, not that I know of. I did inquire about that same question and was told to just have your letters sent in as soon as possible. I do know that last year there was a form which accompanied your letters, but I believe the new admissions director changed that.

A couple of years ago you had to have two of your professors fill out a two-sided recommendation form that had ratings and space for comments. Regardless of whether you were sending a committee letter. Thankfully, they've gotten rid of that requirement. Now I'm just frustrated that they require psychology. If I get into Minnesota, I'll have to take night classes in psych. at the local community college.

They have a special form for the MD/PhD program, but they have done away with forms for regular MD (I called the admissions office with the same question a month ago🙂)
