I have no answer, but I feel your excitement! I'd also like to know! I was so impressed when I interviewed there! 🙂 I've forgotten that it was Oct. 14th already!!! Time flies!

I dunno the details. I know that there are 3 different mechanisms schools use:

1) They'll call you on the 15th, and then send out a formal letter
2) They'll email you on the 15th, and then send out a formal letter
3) They'll just send out the formal letter on the 15th (and you have to wait until the 16th or 17th.)

I had a friend last year that applied to UW, and didn't get anything in the mail on the 15th, so he called them that day, and the people in admissions just told him over the phone. I think I will do that.

But it's interesting, because I interviewed at MCW, and I received my acceptance letter this weekend. So apparently this "october 15th" rule isn't universal.

hey, when did you guys all interview in Madison? I had mine last friday (10/10), when do you all think i should expect to hear?
Also, i agree, it is an awesome school and i can't wait...

I interviewed on 9/12, and they gave no indication of when decisions would be made. Keep us posted if anyone hears anything!!

A friend of mine stopped by the admissions office about one hour ago. They knew nothing! First, the woman in charge of mailing out stuff isn?t even at work today but another woman said there was a big stack of envelopes that needed to be mailed out.

So, I guess they're mailing this out in this evening's mail.

I don't want a survey from you UW, I want a decision!!!!! And they had to send the email to me twice, I just have to laugh at myself for gasping when I saw an email from them.

lisa, thats so funny but true. I got the email from them saying "please fill out this interview..." WHATEVER, AM I IN OR NOT??? 🙂

I got the same e-mail this morning too, and I gasped as well!! 😀 My heart started beating faster and everything as I opened, only to read about a survey..... Come on UW, let us know!!!!! 🙂

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's so awesome, and it's nice to have some commodore (is that the right spelling?) about UW!!! Maybe the rest of us will join you and we'll start an office Univ of WI class of 2008 thread🙂

I guess now that I've relaxed a little, I should mention that I was in the very first interviewed group. So, they may be sending out acceptances in that order.
I hope my acceptance doesn't make you all paranoid!

I interviewed early also, on Sept. 12, but don't worry about making me paranoid. I'm just glad they are making some decisions, as I'm sure you know, it's so hard to wait 🙂

I interviewed there last year. The time you get your acceptance all depends on how many in state and out of state applicants they've had lately, and if the committe is on track w/admissions meetings. They go through something like 20 students per week, and only those who are past the "magical cutoff" will hear right away. The rest will be in limbo for awhile . . .

I interviewed on Sept 19, and I also received my letter on saturday-- the small envelope was deceiving! I was giddy all weekend though 😀 😀

In case anyone else is waiting, I ended up bugging the admissions office today by calling and the lady said that my decision is being made today and the letter should go out today as well. So my letter wasn't lost in the mail

I called the admissions office today and they told me my application would be reviewed by the committee on Tuesday (10/28) and that a decision would be sent to me by the end of next week. 🙂 I interviewed on September 26.
