HOORAY!!! I got an interview at UAB for this thursday.. I'm not an edp or anything but it is my state school, so i guess theyre starting to due regular applicants. Im surprised theyre interviewing me because I took the august mcat after having done mediocre in april, but I guess theyre overlooking that. anyways.. wish me luck! this will be my first of many i hope. Ive got 2 days to prepare ahhhhhh!!!!

Hey Jordews,
Congrats on the interview and good luck!!!
I'm staying hopeful, although I fear my August score might not be what I need.....
Oh well, it's wait and see like everyone else!!
Anyway, have an awesome interview and keep us posted!
L

good luck good luck good luck 🙂 🙂 🙂

Good luck, did you apply to USA, also?

You the bomb!
I told you they would start rolling in 🙂

Got my interview there too. Just found out today. Seems pretty laid back. I'll post after I find out. Now, if others could just start rolling in.

hey grunermann, when is ur date for that interview, just curious, i still haven't recieived anything. I thought UAB would wait for august scores to come back, anyways, i didn't take the august one so hopefully i'll hear from them soon.

and jordews, i can't believe they ONLY gave you 2 DAYS of notice. thats not hard to prepare for, but not easy either, i mean i'd go interview their tonight if they asked me too.

So, by now you're prob thru with your interview, hope it went well. just a question, are you from TN and an AL resident, or do you know live in AL

i am interviewing at UAB on the 11th. i was asked for the 4th but i had to reschedule because of unavoidable conflicts. (i only had one day notice)
good luck jordews! (eventhough you're done by now)
rohitbest, how was your interview at south?
i think i might have met you there. we didn't talk about the arizona cardinals did we? was that you?

yeah kevo, that was me, sad that we were really talking about them. hey, did UAB call you, they must have because of the one day notice. See, i didn't get home til about 11 o'clock that night (rollerhockey game), and I had 11 missed calls. So, just wondering if they called, and I wasnt' home. yeah, i understand, 1 day notice is a little early, but i might have done it, haha, but one week doesnnt' make too much of a difference. well, good luck to you on the 11th, i just hope i get an invite from them soon.

i think the south interview went pretty well. My interviewers were all good, and went 55 min. with two of them. the last one, dr. browne only lasted 20 min. because he had to go to his clinic, but he told me he would give me a good recommendation, so thats at least good. I just hope i get "excellent" ratings like mark scott was saying and get in the 3.8 out of 4 range. I think he did a pretty good job about explaining the whole admissions procedure, not many do it like that.

yeah, UAB called me and i just couldn't make it on a 1 day notice. did you go to the medical center for any of your interviews? if so, what'd you think of it?

na, i did not go to the medical center for any of the interviews.. 2 of mine were in the medical sciences building, and the other one was in the CSAB building, mark scott's office, but interviewer was browne. I did go by there the day before to check it out from the outside, didn't get a chance to go in though, too late. How did it look liek to you, I mean, the hospital looked pretty big, and i know it has a lot of beds. I think personally i would liek to spend a lot more time in the children's and women's hospital.

for those that have been, what was the UAB interview day like? nice students? any mean interviewers? any comments?
rohitt,
as for the med center at south...
looks questionable on the outside but it is pretty nice inside. remodeled and up-to-date.

The interview went really well for me. Although I only had one day's notice, interviewfeedback.com and looking over my essay were enough preparation. Do believe everyone's saying that interviewers only want to get to know you. My three were just like conversations; nothing stressful at all. Just relax, review basic material, and have a good time.
