I believe all the events were virtual! Highly recommend going if you can. They basically go over their admissions process, curriculum, etc. It's worth it!Quick question!! What was the “Get to know Us” event ? Is that in person or virtual?
Awesome! I will definitely attend then!I believe all the events were virtual! Highly recommend going if you can. They basically go over their admissions process, curriculum, etc. It's worth it!

Congrats, I’ve been rooting for you!! I’m so happy for youGUYS IM SOBBING IN AN APPLEBEES RN. I GOT AN INTERVIEW INVITE
I agree with this. It doesn’t make sense. And I am someone who is benefiting from a good undergraduate GPA, which I don’t feel reflects who I am as a student now (especially bc I am older and did my UG degree over 10 years ago)Idk I have a masters degree and I feel like it’s being nearly ignored by most schools. Undergrad GPA should not be the sole determinant of if an application even gets reviewed.
People with advanced degrees should be considered before anyone with just an undergraduate degree. I’m sorry but it’s not fair that my masters degree is being weighed less than my undergraduate prerequisites for admissions.
best of luck to you!! so apparently, they extended the interview cycle to January and increased the number of people invited to interview to 330 instead of 300. originally, this was supposed to the final interview date!I received an interview invite yesterday! It scheduled for 12/13 which is the day after my birthday. I am so so hopeful! I’m assuming that’s the last interview date. This is my final time applying to vet school so I hope this is a sign I’ll get accepted.
I've been on hold since september, so this gave me so much hope! thank you and congratulations!scheduled my interview, next friday at 9am MST!! I AM SO EXCITED!! is anyone else scheduled for next Friday??
if you have been on hold since september DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE !! if you read through this thread you will see how many times i’ve said “yeah it’s not happening for me i guess.”
What do you mean by “on hold”?I've been on hold since september, so this gave me so much hope! thank you and congratulations!
rooting for you!!! you absolutely got this!! 🖤I've been on hold since september, so this gave me so much hope! thank you and congratulations!
The MMI hold. All/most applicants get put on this waitlist to determine if you will get an interview or notWhat do you mean by “on hold”?
Oh… I haven’t been checking. I’ve done this a few times and realized that if I obsessively check portals, it sends me into depression with the whole process. I’m so glad they sent an email. The MMI hold. All/most applicants get put on this waitlist to determine if you will get an interview or not
SO excited for you! Also def recommend the get to know us event it helped calm my nerves a lot before the interview. Congratulations!!!GUYS IM SOBBING IN AN APPLEBEES RN. I GOT AN INTERVIEW INVITE
Yes!! As a first year student, I would definitely recommend going to the event. Meet some current students and ask all your questions about the program, what life is like in Tucson, if people have experience with things you are interested in and just general questions about the whole process! We all want you to go into your interviews feeling the best you can about Arizona and why you want to go there. So if you can attend, please please do! And yes it is always virtual.SO excited for you! Also def recommend the get to know us event it helped calm my nerves a lot before the interview. Congratulations!!!
Love that you got an interview invite. I have also pretty much felt that it was a no, I’ve been on hold since 9/20i’ve gotta say, joining SDN, as much as it has messed with my head, you guys are some of the most amazing and supportive people i have ever met. i absolutely love that we have this platform to talk to each other and support each other through this tumultuous process 🖤
please stay strong !! again, if you scroll through this thread you will see how many times i’ve said i give up.Love that you got an interview invite. I have also pretty much felt that it was a no, I’ve been on hold since 9/20

I signed up for the event! Thankfully it will be after work so I have time to be fully invested!Yes!! As a first year student, I would definitely recommend going to the event. thank you!!Just Google MMI interview help. I haven’t interviewed with Arizona before but I’ve done MMI interviews with 2 other schools and both were similar in how they were structured: everything was situational with how you would respond to the situation. Some questions had an ethical component, but mostly it was just how you would respond. My advice would be to acknowledge both sides of the “dilemma” and point out something on each side but then to choose your response and back it up with facts of why you choose that course of action.
I just interviewed Friday and it went okay. I would definitely suggest watching the videos they send you so that you can get a pretty good idea of what the experience will be like. They do a pretty good job, imo, of prepping you before the actual process. Nerves still come of course (I probably stuttered a bit during the first question lol), but once you get through the first 1-2 questions you get the feel for it.thank you!!
So, so happy for you!GUYS IM SOBBING IN AN APPLEBEES RN. I GOT AN INTERVIEW INVITE
On one hand, that is so nerve wracking that there's only 30 left. On the other hand, I'm glad they are not making people wait until February 19th if they were not lifted off the waitlist. If I hear anything new at the informational meeting on Thursday, I will definitely share here. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the last interview date will be January 10th, but I'm not sure.Just for those who have not been selected yet for an interview, I emailed the admissions department, and they said they have around 30 interview spots left available. Also, if you don’t get selected for an MMI, you will be notified the first week of January apparently. Let’s hope we’re among the 30 ❤️
did they happen to say when the last interviews are going out?Just for those who have not been selected yet for an interview, I emailed the admissions department, and they said they have around 30 interview spots left available. They did not explicitly say when the last interviews are going out. However, since they said that those who aren’t getting selected for an interview will receive rejections on the first week of January, I would guess that would be the last week that interviews are going out.did they happen to say when the last interviews are going out?
They're going on break so it'll probably be early JanuaryWait I'm kinda thinking maybe Dec 20th would be the last date to interview? If there's only 30 left, I'm going to assume thats one interview date versus multiple. Maybe they are trying to get them done before the end of the year?
Ah okay! So then those final invites will be sent that first week, along with rejection letters, then following week would be the interview so Jan 10th!They're going on break so it'll probably be early January
when’s your interview for? excited for you!Got my interview invite today! Third time applicant, waitlisted last cycle!!
I am so excited you got the interview invite!!!!! Yay!Got my interview invite today! Third time applicant, waitlisted last cycle!!
Earlier in this thread, someone said they increased it to 330. I will be attending the informational meeting tomorrow night so I will share what they say about how many applicants, how many KIRA and how many interviews.Does anyone know if they are still sending out 300 interview invites? Or did they increase that number?
dec 20Got my interview invite today! Third time applicant, waitlisted last cycle!!
Wrong. I was on hold since 09/27, received an invite 12/06, and my interview is tomorrow. If you scroll through last years thread, you will see people on hold for over a month too who got invites.I assumed if I got put on waitlist for interview since last month, there's no hope then...

I understand, it is super nerve-wracking. But I am telling you, it doesn't mean you are disqualified from an interview. I was on hold from September 27th and did not receive an interview until December 6th. That is 10 weeks I was on hold. 2 1/2 months.I got place on 11/18, so I just worried now
