UB school code for FAFSA

Does anyone know what the school code for UB dental is.. I remember the dean telling us that the code for the university and the code for the dental school is different, and that if you use the university code you'll get less aid than you're supposed to. Thanks in advance.

002837 is what i keep finding online but its for north campus so i think that's wrong.

thanks, that's what I found online as well but when you add the school using this number it lists north campus under the description so I thought it might be wrong since the dental school is on the south campus. Is there a good combined site with all these numbers? there was a thread on sdn but it seems outdated. Some schools are good about listing and giving out numbers but for others I'm having a hard time locating them. Guess I have a lot of calls to make tmrw 🙁

I would just go ahead and use the FAFSA numbers that come up when you search the school. You can always make adjustments later on. Have you not been accepted yet or are still deciding between schools?

I have not been accepted and am still waiting to hear some good news hopefully! but still trying to get this FAFSA thing started at least. Doesn't making changes later hurt your chances though? I haven't even finished filing my taxes and my parents in the process of doing theirs - some schools suggest waiting to do all that before filing FAFSA but others say to do it before 😕

I filled my FAFSA out in may or june and got all my money...even the perkins loans. As for your parents info, if they make over 100k, you won't get any assistance and filling out their info is useless.

I still don't see how it matters what your parents make if they're not gonna help you pay for school😕

It is the UB code in general 002837.

If you are filling out for NYS TAP, its 5133 for the medical/dental schools.

They may have cynical motives. If you can't pay up they'll go after the next of kin regardless of whether they paid or not.

I think I need to check my mail...I think I've checked my on campus mail 5 or 6 times in 3 years.

It was one of the letters after the acceptance letter.
