Come on, everyone knows CDB is the stereotypical premed easy route to a high GPA. No Chem 130A, no MCB 100 or 110. I shoulda gone CDB, ah too late.

Ugh, chem 130a. that was the worst class i ever took. Immuno all the way!!! To the OP, several have already mentioned that your experience at the Alta Bates ER will not be that rewarding. I second that opinion. Doctors and nurses there weren't receptive to helping you learn or letting you observe anything. Also, Highland in Oakland supposedly has a good ER volunteer program. And it's a trauma center like SFGH so you'd see interesting stuff. But it's kind of a pain to get to if you don't have a car.

Daaaaaa Bears, da bears da bears...

i'm not looking forward to 110L though... 👎
no what you need to understand is that 110L is the best damn class in the entire BMB schedule. where good friends are made, random trips to the bars across the street are had with the TAs and profs, and end of the year party right outside the door immediately after you finish the final........

the horror stories are many...however, in the end im sure you will feel the same way. 110L was definitely the best class in the BMB track.

At least you get to remain in California. That's pretty much what matters. =)

Rose Bowl baby

Last year, while applying, I scheduled my interviews around the football games. I encourage all you applying to do the same. Coach Tedford is the man.

This is totally off topic, but    for Natalie Coughlin!!!! Two golds and a silver medal with 100M freestyle tonight and one more relay to go. Go Bears! Did you guys watch the 100M men's freestyle? The guy from Croatia wore his Cal cap instead of his country's cap. I thought that was sorta weird.

Yep, she's such an amazing swimmer. I think she likes that she's out of the limelight with Phelps in the picture; keeps some of the pressure off.
