For those who've applied to the UC's, can we get a list going of the grading systems they'll be using when we enter this fall? I'm especially curious about those that are P/F but also use internal ranking or transcript rankings, which I hear can be reflected in residency applications. (I know there have been some threads on this, but I'd like to update this information.)

I'll start with UCSF. Any info on the others---Irvine, Davis, UCSD, and especially UCLA with its new curriculum? Thanks!

----------

UCSF:
Years 1 and 2: Strictly Pass/Fail, and I believe no internal/transcript rankings.
Years 3 and 4: High Pass/Pass/Fail

UCI is honors/pass/fail. From what I know of, there isn't a special internal ranking to determine AOA or anything related to residency. Aside from transcipts, the Dean's letter sums up your performance using the standard code of good, excellent and outstanding, but no special mention like "the first among equals".
