UCI Interview 12/6

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hey cammy, I'll be at irvine with you on the 6th...

Cool. Is this your first Cali interview? It is my first in-state interview and I'm really hoping to go there actually (despite all the crap people have been dishing out about it on other threads). I was asked to apply to their PRIME-LC program so I'm trying to take that as a good sign...

yeah, it's gonna be my first cali interview...makes me kinda nervous!

Me too!
:scared:
What do you know about Irvine?

i interviewed at uci and its prime-lc program. you will have so much fun - everyone is super super nice. (gayle pierce is great!) i think its the culture of the school to have very relaxed interviews. as long as you are ready to elaborate on aspects of your application you'll be fine.

the prime-lc program seems even more fabulous in person - the current students in the program LOVE it. and you get the sense all the other students wish they were in the program too.
:luck: :luck: :luck: GOOD LUCK!

oh yeah, they tell you in the intro that half of the people who are interviewed are extended acceptances - not bad huh?

Thanks lulubean! I'm really siked about this interview, Irvine is really my top choice. It's close to home and the PRIME-LC program sounds amazing (I really want to cater to the underserved Latinos some how). Did you get there for the early 8am tour and what not???

i actually got stuck in traffic and missed the tour. i don't think the tour is a big deal though since you don't get to see the hospital/medical center.

I think I might go just so that I feel fully informed 🙂

P.S. I just read your post in the funniest interview moments thread....that is great! I'll be on the look out for practical jokers
