Thanks for reporting in. Be very hopeful. My friend said that those who are waitlisted near the end of the app year have a good chance since they are so fresh in the committee's mind.

for the 4/10 status change bunch: was mcniccol you're interviewer? I recall a thread mentioning how each interviewer also heads up a small admissions committee that discusses the interviewee. I'm just curious if 4/10 status change was from this committee. thank you much

No. They're giving out financial aid estimates to accepted applicants if you contact the FAO, but no word on any merit scholarships.

While we are at it, I got a new camera phone and went a lil crazy with pics. This was on a runway in New Mexico going to a transplant and I couldn't resist. The lines you see are residual trails from planes taking off and landing...

Aww i can't wait to go on a transplant run! I see them at the hospital down here when the teams come to do it, but I'd love to actually go with them from start to finish.

The first time you see one, it is really amazing... Even after three and a half years of doing it, I still love it... When you are an MS II, there are "selectives" that include a cardiothoracic option where you take a class, do cardiac research and assist the surgeon on a harvest once in a while...

My girl called, whoosh they asked her for her aamc 😱 , and she told them she was about to lose reception on the phone so a general answer would suffice. End of April early May. I'm assuming this is a standard answer.

Maybe someone can call this friday, if nothing goes up on the status page? I will call next mon/tue.

If ANYONE who's been accepted after, say Feb interview, would let us know, then we-who-are-chewing-our-nails might get an idea of whether it's all waitlist (best case scenario) from here on out OR if there is a hope of a direct acceptance...

March 3- waitlists (fri)
March 7-holds (tue)
March 13-acceptances (mon)
March 28-acceptances (tue)
April 5-waitlists/holds/rejections (wed)
April 10-acceptances/unranked waitlists (mon)

If the pattern continues, there might be a status change tomorrow 4/21, if not then definitely there should be one on 4/24, 4/25, or 4/26.. I don't think they send out anything on thursdays (at least that is what it seems like). Also, if this month mirrors last month then some of us should definitely hear by wednesday at the latest.

The sun is out these days people are probably on the roof tanning. Ha!

Waitlist movement starts post may 15. It usually begins may 16 until the first day of class.
