so - i am going for a UCLA interview in January. la is on of my top schools - i'm out of state and i flew out to SD for a really sucky inteview and i hope i dont waste time doing the same for la. the reviews seem to be pretty bad about the day there - is there anyone out there who has recently interviewed with UCLA (or goes there now) that might give me insight on the interview day? really appreciate it,

I interviewed at UCLA a few weeks ago. I really liked the school, but they don't do a good job at trying to impress you. Mainly because if you are a CA resident, they know that if you get in, you will attend a state school over an out of state school. Overall, I was quite impressed with their facilities, student body, curriculum, and location. Quite hard to beat. Definitely enjoy your time in LA -- it's a great place to be. Try to connect with students while you visit, as they are the best source of information!
