Can anyone (applicants, current/graduated residents, or any word of mouth) share their thoughts on what it would be like to be in a program like UCLA where there are multiple sites, given that LA traffic is no fun? I know I wouldn't be shuffling between two different sites on any given day, but I feel like multiple sites makes it tricky to find housing central to all the sites, etc. I also worry about losing the cohesive "cohort" feeling of the intern class, if we are all scattered.

Also, I hear they have 2 week rotations - any thoughts on whether this would be detrimental to learning? I feel that in some ways it is nice, because I'd be able to be done with less-appealing rotations faster than if I were somewhere with 4 or 6 week rotations, but I also feel like by the time I get my bearings in a rotation, the rotation would basically be over!

I'm sure there are conferences (noon conferences, morning reports, grand rounds) where the interns and other residents would gather several times a week. You can meet your friends there. This is the only form of "cohorting" that is done in most programs anyway.
When you are working, you are working... not cohorting with other interns. So it probably wouldn't make a difference if your classmates were in a different part of the same hospital, or in a different part of town.

Two week rotations are okay, will probably be a little challenging in the beginning....But I wouldn't decide against a program because they do 2-week rotations. I also doubt that all their rotations are only 2-weeks.

I don't know if I agree with the above. We do a lot of "cohorting" at my program at work outside of educational conferences. In fact, I think that it's something that's pretty wonderful about peds and working at a children's hospital where pretty much the entire residency program is rotating. There is only one month where they were having us rotate elsewhere and it kinda sucked for those residents bc they felt isolated .
I always felt bad for my friends from med school who are now in programs like anesthesia where you do different rotations throughout the hospital, often on your own.
