Does anyone know if UCLA will allow OOS to claim residency and pay in state costs after the first year? If so, would you also have to pay OOS for the first summer?

I don't know the details, but the peeps in the UCSF financial aid office mentioned something about how almost no one paid OOS fees after the first year, during their presentation. I would assume that the same holds true at UCLA.

Students at UCLA said you could get in-state tuition after the first year. However, I did some of my own research online and found that the UC system can be strict about giving out in-state residency, and in some cases it can be difficult to "prove" that you plan on staying in CA after you graduate (which is what they care about).
