I received a secondary app from UCLA yesterday... I'm not sure what's being asked about it from this thread tho
The question is if everyone who applies to UCLA receives a secondary application. Or if only those who they screen and deem qualified received the secondary application.

The wording is weird on the site. It was downloadable in the past. There's even the 2010-2011 app still up. Maybe they are completely screening now. Or maybe they just are just screening for minimum requirements and sending out secondaries in small, controlled batches.
I didn't apply to UCLA but I've always wondered this about other schools.
Be very patient. I would say UCLA is one of the slowest schools when it comes to reposes, filling their classes etc. But in my experience almost all of the schools send secondaries out to all the complete applications. It is their only way to get $. Be prepared the UCLA secondary is pretty extensive...one of the longest ones I saw! GOOD LUCK! Just relax it is still very very very early.
Mine took a while. So did my rejection letter. So be patient![]()
To the first batchers that already received a secondary.
I know that the secondary is in paper format...
But, do they ask that you pay in check? or can you pay online?
AND! is it still $60.00 or do they ask for more?
A quick question about the supp application...
If your response is longer than the given space (ie. Dates of Attendance for undergrad college), what are we supposed to do?
I don't want to upload a PDF with responses that are cut off =/
Thanks in advance
Question about this part of the UCLA Secondary:
Have you ever been convicted or plead nolo contendre (no contest) to any offense, misdemeanor or felony in any state, the United
States, or a foreign country? (except violations in traffic laws resulting in fines of $200 or less)
Does this mean we have to report a speeding ticket if I paid over $200 for it? Seems silly, especially when I did traffic school to have it removed from my record.
I would include it because they specifically mentioned to include anything above $200.Question about this part of the UCLA Secondary:

Sigh. I don't understand why they'd want to hear about this? Additionally I'm unsure if it even still counts as a ticket considering if it's off my record. Any other advice?
everyone and their grandma has a speeding ticket. stop being so literal with these instructions and use some reasoning
I guess I'll just call the school on Monday to confirm.
As with everything here, its all speculation. The UCLA folks will tell you what they must. Honestly though I think its unimportant enough that they won't really care.
