I took the 14 series and I don't think I have enough g-chem lab to fulfill their requirements...specifically I am 0.7 semester units away from their 2 unit requirement. I wrote them an email to ask...I was wondering if any previous applicant had the same problem.
Thanks.

I actually took the 20 series, but I hear your concern.

I believe that a few years ago, the UCLA Chem dept used to have a chem 11 series (Don't remember the exact number). People applying to med schools suddently heard from schools that they don't have enough chem, so the students complained to the Chem dept, and they briefly offered an extra class to make up for that problem.

After the disastrous 11 series, there emerges the 14 series. I believe when they designed the 14 series, they have been more careful about it; and since I haven't heard anyone having problem applying to med schools with the 14 series in recent years, I think you guys will be fine.

Thanks for the replies! I wrote GW to check, and they are fine with the 14 series if anyone else has that concern.
