Well it has happened again to me. It happened with NEB and now with UConn. My status says "Received/Application Denied." NEB said their dental class was full already and that's fine; I wonder what UConn's reason will be?

Has anyone else received these types of status reports? Frankly, I'm getting sick of wasting money on schools that won't even look at an application.

Just found out today for UConn also. 😳

I got denied earlier. Who cares if you got in somewhere else.

I got rejected a few weeks ago and I have been trying to call them to see if I can speak to someone about it, but no one has been picking up for the past 2-3 weeks! It's frustrating, to say the least! I have just given up on finding a reason from them!

for those without a predents account...what are your stats?

Well, I don't think it means rejected... otherwise it would SAY rejected. That would make me happy believe it or not. I like answers, not "your application was thrown away just because we didn't feel like looking at it."

My stats are not 20s all across for the DAT and 3.6sci gpa, 3.3-3.4ish overall (don't have all my grades back this fall semester) 🙂

Screw schools that don't inform applicants of the state of the class. If its full, they should post it on their site or email all applicants to notify them.

I think you must graduate first before applying to UConn. So if you don't have your BS or BA degree in hand, they will likely not let you in.

If your application was "denied", implying that they wouldn't accept your application, then you should get your application fees check back.

I think you all should protest against the school. Hold signs outside the building saying ...things.

No.

From the UConn site:
Minimum requirements are: 1 year general biology with lab, general chemistry with lab, organic chemistry with lab, and physics with lab. Recommended courses: biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular genetics. Over 99% of matriculated students have at least a BS/BA degree. The School does not accept transfer students at this time.

Still, I will have a BSc at the end of this year. Most schools accept graduating students no? So you don't need your degree to apply. Also, I hope they give me back my $75 for processing, which they did none of. It probably doesn't help that I'm a Canadian and it was a money order either... kind of seems like fraud to me!

3.35 overall.
3.46 science.
3.66 BCP.

24 AA/25 PAT.

Denied!

Ok, out with it. What's weird on your app?

And to everyone in general, wth say things like I did 2000 hrs of dental assisting? Who in the world expresses work in terms of hrs and not years.

I put down all that in hours. Maybe thats why they don't like it.

The AADSAS format pretty much makes you state any such experience in hours. It's funky, but it might be why some people are stating it in that format.

If the class is already full. I would ask why did you apply so late?

So why do the weirdo's on predents do that? You didn't put down that you played 15,234 hrs of guitar playing.

If the class was full and I knew that in NOVEMBER, I wouldn't have applied. Since acceptances don't go out until December (or Nov 31, whatever), I'm pretty sure its impossible to know that they would offer 100% of their class in December. yes.

As for applying late, its because I'm a Canadian, and the CDAT is only offered twice a year (Feb, Nov). I wrote the November one.
