Im an August Mcat taker, reapplicant, white, CT resident, just got my second interview at Uconn (first last year) December 1st!

The wierd thing is:
The Dean emailed me about a week before the scores even came out! Think this could just be an edge they give to previously interviewed applicants?

Last year I got a 26Q (10v, 7p, 9b)
This year: 28M (10v, 9p, 9b)

Any other August Mcaters and/or reapplicants hear from Uconn this early, or at all?

what has been your history with uconn? you applied last year but was not successful? Where you placed on a waiting list? what was your experience exactly.
whats your gpa?

Congrats on your interview invite.

I love it here at UCONN. The environment is very supportive and there is a strong focus on the humanistic side of medicine.

I have certainly seen lots of kids in dark suits sitting in the admin office lately, but I have no idea if they were Apr. or Aug. MCATers.

Good luck to you in December!

Last year I applied, was waitlisted in the lower third of the list, did not get in. My GPA is 3.6cum/3.4bcpm from U. Rochester

Should I like my chances?

what types of activities do you have, like clinical experience, research, publications, EC activities...stuff like that?

Ive worked as an EMT, in a medical clinic, and now im a long term subst. teacher in an innercity school

I applied to UCONN and sent my secondary in at the beginning of august and everything else was in by mid august. I just got an email last week saying my file was complete. I am an out-of-stater was wondering if maybe that had something to do with the slow response. I was thinking that maybe they interview CT residents before the rest of us. Does anyone know if I am right?

I am an out of stater and I interviewed at UConn in late September, so I don't think being from out of state should impact how quickly they go through your materials. Everyone I met there was really nice, so good luck with your application!
