I would hope the class isn't full. I got the email in August to interview in January so I'm assuming they wouldn't have told me to interview so late if they didn't think there would be spots available (at least I would hope not!)C.P. Jones said:yeaa......don't go......cough, cough
ummm...why wouldn't you go? do you already have any other acceptances, lots of decisions to wait for?
i was just joking not to go b/c i got put on hold by them

By the way, doctresse, when are you interviewing and have you been able to reach the office?! Oh my gosh it is so hard to get ahold of them! I've emailed and called, and emailed the Dean, and emailed the interview coordinator lady person, and I still don't know when my interview is in January...I hope they're not like that with their students!
doctoresse said:I was just curious since the general consensus here is that interviews after February only lead to waitlists. I wanted to know if anybody has an idea how full their class is. But you are right, I should go since I am still waiting for decisions from other schools now. did you like the school and your interview day?
thanks!
ps: hold is better than rejected 🙂
doctoresse said:My situation is a little different because I ended up not sending my secondary but they put me on their interview list pending completion of my file. So I sent my secondary but haven't heard back yet. From a previous post it seems that it's very hard to get a hold of anybody there, so you're not alone in that situation. Also this is what the dean's email read:
" Once we have received and reviewed the required materials, a member of our admissions staff will be in touch with you to set up your interview date provided the required materials are viewed favorably. This contact is normally made two to four weeks prior to available interview dates. Please refrain from making inquiries about the specific interview date until you hear directly from our scheduling coordinator. We appreciate your interest in the U of Connecticut School of Medicine. We look forward to hearing more about your motivations, interests, and preparations to date"
I guess it's one of those school that likes to make all the moves 😕
C.P. Jones said:hahaha, maybe you shouldn't listen to me coco! btw, they called me to set up my interview, they left a message since i was away (at another interview, hehehehe)
C.P. Jones said:good luck! same to you coco....keep calling Lisa Francini, you should get through at some point, and Dr. Sanford is pretty good about replying to emails, so idk why he hasn't by now

coco said:Yeah I left Lisa a message, and when she didn't get back to me, I emailed Dr. Sanford, who replied within 2 days. He forwarded the email to Lisa telling her to help me out, but she didn't reply. So I ended up emailing her myself and she still didn't get to me. I'm just worried about finding decent cheap flights from cali. And I do want to go while I'm on break from school. In the initial email, Dr. Sanford had said that Lisa would be in touch with me in December. Oh well, I'll just wait and see. I've bugged them enough they probably don't want to interview me anymore! lol
Good luck doctresse and CPJones I hope you get off the waitlist! GOOD LUCK!!![]()
