I'm having a really hard time answering the essay questions on the UCONN application. A couple of the questions (1 & 3) I already answered in my personal statement. Should I repeat that exactly?

While the crux of your answer should be the same, use the essay to expound on your answer and go into more depth than you did originally.

Definitely don't just repeat your AMCAS essay. This is a chance to reveal a bit more about yourself to the Adcomm. Think of the entire application as a jigsaw puzzle, and the secondaries are another piece.

I'm not sure of the UConn questions you're referring to, but there are several strategies for the basic questions on http://www.accepted.com/medical/secondaryessay.aspx
