UCR/UCLA Thomas Haider Program

Anyone here part of the UCR/UCLA Thomas Haider Program? If so, how is it like? Such as the competition and such.

I'm from UCR. Competition towards the program is not that tough. Although theres 24-25 seats every year... theres only 80-100 people that actually apply. Classes at UCR are fairly okay... our biology program has a nasty reputation in terms of difficulty... but its not too bad. People are usually pretty friendly, you wont find much gunners here.

I see. That's what I've heard about too. But i was just curious why competition is not high when it is such a great opportunity to get into UCLA's med school.
