Hey guys,
This is kinda a technical thing. UCSD requires applicants to apply to their advanced EM program and the Scripps transitional year. Scripps has a normal medicine TY and an EM TY specifically for UCSD 'matchers' listed on ERAS. The EM TY has 6 spots, the UCSD EM program has 8, so 2 residents would be left out right?
So should someone interested in UCSD apply to both transitional programs, the EM one plus the medicine one? Could there be any disadvantages from this, maybe confusion at Scripps?
Maybe I'm over thinking this whole thing...
Anyways Thanks.
