DS it is said:Congratulations that's awesome! When did you interview, if you don't mind me asking?
Mrxle3 said:I interviewed on Wed, Jan 13. You've been accepted to UoP..if you were also accepted to UCSF, which would you choose?
It seems like the two UCs look at applicants a bit differently. There was a member (also CA resident) with 4.0+ GPA and sky rocking DAT last year. She applied early and was accepted pretty much everywhere including UCLA. However, she did not hear from UCSF almost toward the end of the cycle. Your case may be different, but it could very well be that you have something that they don't quite like it.howui3 said:Did you get an interview from UCLA? when did you apply?

oh and....."Im good enough, Im smart enough, and dog-gone it, people like me." -snl
PDizzle said:That's a tough one. Here is my opinion:
If you want to specialize or go into research, I'd say UCSF. Also, if $ is a concern and you are a CA resident, I'd also go UCSF.
If you don't mind, or even like, a super intense program and are going to be a GP, I'd go UoP (for the three year thang).
I don't have to make that choice (not getting into UoP) but even if I did I would still go to UCSF.
Bottom line is that you can't go wrong with those two schools! Congrats on the acceptances. Maybe I will see you this fall!
