anybody got invitation, any one knows probable dates for IV for UCSF

The International Dentist Program Admissions Committee has reviewed your application. We are pleased to invite you to come for an interview and testing at the University of California, San Francisco from Sunday, October 16th through Wednesday, October 19th, 2011.

Please confirm your attendance by sending an RSVP...

The four day session will consist of an extensive program description, manikin/typodont practical test and a personal interview with two of our committee members..."

I got the email at 6:36pm (central time).

Hi

I received the IV Invitation at 4.42 PT... Just keeping my fingers crossed abt the Bench testing skills as it will be my first Bench skills test.

Any inputs on how to prepare for the skills test will be highly appreciated... Thank you in advance
 
I received UCSF invitation for interview at 4:32 PM Pacific time. Interviews are from Oct 16 through 19. Good luck to all !
 
this is the craziest day for me got ivs from all the three cal univs, like old saying if it rains it pours, good luck guys
 
are they sending emails to the ones who are not invited? I mean the rejection email....

I called Mary Pham and asked her, she said my name was not in the IV list..

Those who have got calls- Can you please share with us what are the strong points in your applications?

We could move in that direction for other schools...

i guess for those who did not hear from them today for having IV are anyways rejected.

you are right it means we r rejected...btw whats your nbde score?
 
Does anyone have an idea if they allow you to practice before the actual bench test? And do they provide with all instruments, like UOP?
 
Also, seniors please help, how and what all to exactly prepare for the bench skills?

Heartiest congratulations to all those invited! If anyone has any doubts or needs help with something regarding the interview, please feel free to get in touch.

For those who had bad luck today, dont lose heart, some other school is going to be the fortunate one to have you.
 
Congratulations to everyone who got a call!

Some of you will be travelling to SFO just for the interviews and I recommend you all plan your trip well in advance, as hotel rooms dry up soon.

For UCSF, hotel Carl or hotel Stanyan are close by options.
if you are on a budget and dont mind euro-travellers, there are a few hostels in downtown that u can check out.

SFO is a relatively safe city with good public transport from the airport and around town.

Good Luck to every one who got their invitations from UCSF.. You all are gonna have best time during your practicals and interview.
Don't worry about anything else now and just concentrate on your practical skills. Hopefully everyone will get a step by step written instructions on the tooth preparation by postal mail along with your invitation within few days..

I too received IV call via mail yesterday 4:30 PM Pacific time from UCSF. Good Luck to everyone for the interview !🙂
