I think it's equivalent to acceptance. It's just that there may be additional documents that they need like visa status or documents for student loan.

Congratulations to all those who got into UCSF! I received a mail from Mary Pham saying that I am in the low alternate status. Does anyone have an idea what are the chances of getting in? In the previous years have people with low alternate status got in? Any info would help.

All of you deserve it.. Hard work always gets paid..
Those who did not get, please don't loose courage.. All of you worked equally hard but UCSF can unfortunately accommodate only 24 students.. But I know some students who made it to this dream school with 2 tries..So keep your hope high..👍
