After reading some of the threads on the UCLA stats-e.g. nbde pt scores, and specialization rates, I was wondering if any current or former UCSF dental students know what the stats are for UCSF?

Thanks for the info. I have to say I was a little surprised to see that from the dental school class of 2006, only 13 of 77 specialized (outside of GPR). It seems kind of low for a school of their stature. But maybe only 13 students wanted to specialize.

I found this intriguing also. could it has anything to do with the pass/non pass system the school uses? does anyone know where to find the average national board score for different schools? 😕

Someone had mentioned in a previous thread that UCSF was #5 amongst dental schools in their boards exams from last year.

surprisingly, although scoring well on boards, it seems many students who go to ucsf choose to do general dentistry instead of specializing. Its not that they cant, rather they choose not to.
