Hi all,

I just got put on UCSF's "high priority" list. What are the chances of a California resident making it off the list and actually matriculating? I am curious 1) how much movement occurs on May 15th and 2) what is the fate the people who become "alternates" at that point?

Thanks in advance for your feedback & potential commiseration

I got a letter today in the mail. I believe that they send out acceptances on the 15th so if you don't get a letter this week, you may be golden.

I live in LA so the mail would get here pretty quick. It was dated the 11th.

We aren't so pathetic. We just wanted to go to a great school, located in a great area.

oh, i didn't mean YOU were pathetic... i mean't the rest of us who are obsessed with things like when letters were sent to try to outsmart the system... as if there is a rhyme or reason to any of it! sorry about that!

If we didn't get the alternate list letter this week, there maybe three possibilities 1)acceptance 2) rejection 3)alternate list at a later date. I am not sure if I would feel happy if I didn't get a letter this week. So, you shouldn't feel unhappy either.
