Hello All,

I was just wondering if anyone that had an interview at UCSF has heard back from them yet. I went for my interview about 2 weeks ago and I know i'm being impatient, but it feels like it's been forever!

They told us they send out rejections to the bottom 20% at each interview session immediately (people who are not up to par in oral or written communication, as revealed in the interview and essay). Everyone else will hear by the end of March.

I know, waiting sucks! But just think...at this point, you've probably made the first cut.

Wheww! Well first cut's better than nothing. Do you know if they accept you fully even if you plan to complete 2 pre-requisites over the summer, or do they wait-list you?

Oh no..... they send out rejections letters out that fast for those that cant speak or write well? Great.....i had mine on feb 10th, so i might be getting my rejection soon then........

if you have prereqs left you get a conditional acceptance; the condition is that you pass those prereqs.

Did anyone receive an email acknowledging that they have finished the interviews and they will starting making decisions?
I got that last year after my interview and nothing this year.

Oh really? I heard they don't send out letters until the first week of April. And I think it's also written in the PharmCAS website in the school directory.

That's quite a ways away.

congrats to doublezero! they send out the letters so quick this year. i thought it was gonna come in end of march. Did you get an earlier interview date?

i'm from norcal and i had an early interview date (1/19), so that might be why i have heard back from them already. i have 14 days to reply, so do you think that means the ucsd rejection/acceptance letters will be coming soon, too?

Sorry, I heard that they send letters by First week of April.
So I guess it's better than getting them in April.

I guess they are starting early this year. Last year, I remember people got their acceptance in the first week of March and I got mine (letter as an alternate) on Spring break. But it's good to keep an eye on the mailbox since they give you only 14 days to reply. Good luck everyone!!

Came in a small envelope. Just a one-page letter. More info to come in April.

I am a little leary to believe that they have already sent out acceptance letters. If they did then congratulations but if they didn't and you are doing this as a joke then I don't appreciate it.
I noticed that both of you have only 2 posts and joined last month and this month, I think it a little odd, but that is just my opinion.
I hope you both are being genuine.

I can't find a reason why their posts wouldn't be legit. It's perfectly possible for them to have registered this month or last and have had interviews and acceptances. Many of our members lurk without registering and then register once they receive an interview or an acceptance. Just something to think about...

I generally don't write before I think something through, and I have thought about that. I did mention that if they are genuine then congratulations. It is very easy to mislead people, and there are a lot of those that get satisfaction out of doing do.

Their posts are genuine, I know that UCSF sent out rejection letters this week too, and my friend confirmed it.

Yup, I'll admit to being a long time lurker (I used to get butterflies about pharm school just from reading the SDN posts), but I'll try to contribute now. 🙂

I definitely think it's wise to take everything that's posted here with a grain of salt, but I am telling the truth when I say that I've gotten an acceptance letter. Short of me scanning or taking a photo of it for you (PM me if you're that curious), I know I can't really prove it, but I honestly did hear back and get accepted already.

So, I was invited for the USC interview, UCSD interview, UOP interview and got accepted into USC. How is it I got a rejection letter so soon from UCSF, without an interview offer? Is there a cut-off GPA they go by, perhaps? I am just baffled by this and seriously believe my whole application is just sitting somewhere, unreviewed.

Well, initially I thought I didn't do too well in my interview. I was very nervous.

Are you serious? So when they said that they would be sending letters out mid-March to late-March they were lying? So they wait that long to reject people? Where are you getting your info from?

Please dont be alarmed. I am just assuming... This wait is making me coocko and started to reason why I havent gotten anything yet. They say they evaluate applications ramdonly but how can they send out acceptances if they havent gotten through all the applications so they'd have an idea of how many people should get in. I just think it makes more sense for them to rank all applicants and send out the acceptance to top candidates and see if they accept the offer in 14 days. Then by the end of March, they will have an idea of how many people would be on the waitlist.. just a guessing...sorry I'm traumatized by last year. I had to wait until the end of spring break to get my waitlist letter. 🙁

I totally understand! Thank you for your prompt reply. I am disappointed that I have not received anything thus far, I have one more interview in Massachusetts in a week, so we shall see how that goes. I wish you the best of luck. What you said does make sense....

Don't assume rejection if you haven't received a letter yet. Yes, some students receive early acceptance letters but a lot are sent out around the time they specify. That's what I observed when I applied.

I interviewed February 4 and they told us we should expect to hear by early April, so hang in there, no worries yet!

This wait is driving me nuts!! I interviewed Feb 4th as well--I guess I should be more patient but this is just so nerve racking!
