Hey,

Is anyone going to be doing an med elective at the UCSF this summer? I will be there for most of June and bit of July. This will be my first time there, I wanna explore the city and meet people from other schools. Anyone else gonna be around/want to meet up (send me a PM or just reply here, whatever works)?

SF is s cool city. Lots to do. Make sure you check out the BART schedule to avoid those high taxi prices unless you have self transportation. make sure you get to Grant avenue and check out China town. There are some cool malls not too far from there and some nice eat in spots. Also, check out the the Fisherman Wharf area. They have some cool tours there like the city trolley tour and the wine and redwoods tour. Lots to do. Great city. You will have fun. Where are you coming from? Cali or another state?

Spend a lot of time in the Castro. Its a happening place. You'll meet a lot of interesting people. I recommend beauty bar (you can get a drink and a manni-pedi).

After that, head to the meat packing distrcit. You'll learn alot about american culture. Talk to some of the local inhabitants about the rumors ACROSS THE COUNTRY about free housing for homeless in SF. Yeah. Thats not true.

Get a car. Even a zip car. See Napa and Sacremento.

To get to the airport you can either Regular Cab, or you can Uber Cab.
