FYI: For those who may deem fit,
The College of Dentistry & the College of Medicine use to be in the same place when I was there back in 1990, I don't have sufficient information as to how & why the Dentistry moved out & now is located in the main campus in Manila.
The UERM College of Medicine is still at the same campus.UERMMMC ( Univ.of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center) was named after the finest Philippine president so far.We use to hang around at their side of the bldg. opposite of us to smoke &/or wait for our patients. It used to be a very very pleasant area ,fresh air on top where the Anatomical Sciences lab was.
Both colleges are known to be segregatedly discriminatively unfair to get into even before,as Stanford is U of the Philippines on the West,UERM is Harvard on the East theoretically. Undoubtedly at that time the phrase that people are created equal doesn't exist. Tis the time I must humbly recite the truth by my Alma Mater & my fellow grads will curse me.To this effect is a joke , only an alumnus shall know, it is only & only once revealed not until graduation day comes, & never to tell anyone even a spouse but an alumni alone.
By graduation vis a vis process of elimination out of 120 originallly,20+ get through.None of us either or the brightest bulb on the shelf,nor the smartest in any way shape or form,may I add (emphatically),but revered as the most determined. Perseverance is who we are ,wherever we maybe, we have in us , as UERM grads.This is the legacy that our Alma Mater have indelibly forever defined pride & honor in each in everyone of us.And that legacy cannot be allowed to leave us when we cross the Pacific nor the equator whatever the case maybe.
Professors in that school are brutally well known consistently to test us anytime of the day ,in this arena. In validations we are told, the next generation is the chance to plain the playing field ( even more)as they were brutalized themselves during their times.
