Hi. I'm a 1PD at UF.
The curriculum is a flipped classroom model. You learn everything beforehand and you apply that knowledge whenever you go to class. You have a "quiz" when ever you have class. All the lectures and material is online.
It's quite difficult and it takes time to adjust.

As for the application, they take in account everything (GPA, PCAT, P.S., essays, and interview). If you're a Florida resident, you have better chances than out of state applicants. I was below the average applicant in terms of GPA, but I know I got in based on my P.S., essays, and interview.

Good luck!

What were your stats? If you don't mind sharing?
Are you in one of the distant campuses? If so, do you think you're at a disadvantage by not being in the main campus?

I had a 3.0 GPA and a 66 PCAT.
I am at a distant campus. I don't think I am at a disadvantage because you get to know everyone on the campus, including the faculty. I think it's better to be at a distant campus due to the relationships you get to make with everyone. Also it's easy to practice public speaking because you know everyone in the room.
The only issue is that you have to dress business casual whenever you're on campus. but at least you'll look good

If you don't mind me asking, when did you apply and when did you find out you had an interview? I have similar stats as you and wanted to see around what time period for regular decisions I would be receiving notification. Did you also choose Orlando as your first choice?

I applied 2 days before the regular decision deadline (March 1st) and I got an interview invite on April 4th. I had the interview on 4/20.
I talked to someone when I got interviewed at USF that they sent their application 2 weeks before the UF regular decision deadline and got an interview sometime in mid March. Apply early.

Were you able to get your first choice for the campus even after applying that late?
