Is anyone else planning on taking the two summer courses (an science and an nutrition) if we ever get these letters and are accepted? Just curious if anyone has already started the registration process...I keep worrying that I'm gonna miss a deadline to register for those classes, but obviously didn't want to register before I knew where I was going.... which we shall hopefully find out by Friday!!! i heard from a friend that is in the vet school that they sent out the letters today! Also anther friend of mine that has "sources" also said they sent them out today! so idk if the email was just to calm people down who dont get the letters tom or if they sent out some today and the rest tom. idk but im hoping i get one tom! :xf:
 
How close is this reliable source to you? If they went out today then I should maybe have it by Friday considering I live up north. And in that case it is totally worth delaying my trip to new york.
 
im not close to the first source who is a 1st yr at the vet school just knew them from pre-vet club, and they helped out on the interview day. And my second source im closer too, and I know that they have connections knowing more people who are going to vet school there as well. Im hoping these statements are true, but no one really is telling me more than just that they sent out the letters today and not saying how they know. Dont worry if i get anything tom I will def post here since my apt is so close to the vet school.

If you guys need close apts near the vet school Campus Edge is where i live, it is a condo but people rent out rooms all the time and its relatively quiet. I ride my bike to class at animal science bldg which is next to the vet school and it takes me about 7 mins at a good not tiring pace. If I dont get in my room, and prob my roomies room will be available for rent. So i'll let you guys know. Hopefully i'll be here tho and i'll get to go to school with a lot of you! 😀

why is it so secretive? why doesn't UF just tell you if the letters have been sent out or not. It's March 30...it's not like you all have a ton of time anyway since they waited so late to send out notifications. I don't understand what the big deal is and why no one involved with admissions has contacted the applicants to at least let them know when letters went out/are going out.

They did contact us all with e-mails saying that letters will be sent out tomorrow morning at the latest. It's just some people are saying it got sent out today. So hopefully we may be getting letters sooner. Regardless, I think we can say for sure that letters will go out tomorrow if they have not gone out already.

I got an email at 4:30 this afternoon, that apologized for the delay and said they were personally being taken to the post ofice tomorrow morning by Lynette. Did anyone else get this?

I had a dream (nightmare, actually) that they emailed and said if we could get to the campus this morning, we could sign for our letters ourselves before they mailed them out. So I went up there and they gave me an envelope with a certified mail sticker. I was super excited and started crying. Opened the letter and it an acceptance addressed to someone else! I gave it back to Lynette and she told me she made a mistake. Several minutes later she came back with my correct letter and it was a denial. What a crappy dream. Then I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep for over an hour. I don't think I am going to sleep for the next two nights. This is torture. 😱

Im really starting to think they are doing all they can to make sure those letters come in April 14th. So we only have 1 day to send everything in.
 
As far as the Animal Science course. Does anyone know if it has to be that exact course. I have taken many other animal science type course, such as Comparative Animal Physiology, oh boy. Will such thing work? Not sure why I would have to take a lower division animal science when I took a bunch of upper division animal sciences. But who knows?

I guess you could call and ask, however the website specifically states: Animal Science ANS 3006C - Introduction to Animal Science 4

My school didn't offer that course, so UF approved me to complete it at Oklahoma State University or Murray State, which both offer the course online Independent Study. I am taking it at OK State. Checking with UF DVM Student Services office is always the best option to make sure!

I'm also taking it with OK state. Its easy enough to complete

At least we know that we can contact them if we don't get a letter by Monday. 🙂

It means we have to sign for it when the mailman goes to your house/apartment to drop it off. If no one is there to sign for it, you have to go to the post office and pick it up (with appropriate ID). They will leave a slip saying they came and you weren't there if you have to pick it up.

You too! I hope some of us will have the chance to be classmates next year. It was awesome having people around to stick it out for such a late admissions process.

Yes I did have to sign for it. The mailman had left a note on the door of my apartment but I was able to catch him before he left. Hopefully all of you will be my classmates in the fall! Good luck again!!

It took 6 full days(including a Sunday), for my interview invite to arrive. I fully expect to be calling on Monday to find out my destiny.

Anyone who gets a rejection today should call up UF and be like "Haha, April Fools! Where's my acceptance?"

my roomie got in...but i still didnt get a letter! wtf again my letter is late and Im left waiting and stressing out why do they hate me? and its my bday ugh

Sorry it keeps happening to you. No letter for me today either 🙁. Not surprised, since my interview letter was also delayed.

gahhh! so not cool having to wait till Monday. Congrats to those that got in so far
 
are there any people who were rejected or got an alternate letter today? i feel like only FL people who got certified letters got them today, and if so that worries me. I officially know 3 people who got in and no rejections or waitlist. Ugh i hope there is more certified letters for us in fl tom. and of course letters to people oos as well. :luck: im going to be stalking my mailbox tom, i even told the mail lady that I would be and she laughed. :xf:
