I was on the waiting list last year and didn't get in, the most important thing though is to make sure you go speak with the dean and find out WHERE YOU CAN IMPROVE. Do this and then bring it up in the interview the next cycle, say "i took your advice and bla bla."
If you got an interview this cycle, there's a high probability you'll have one next year.
