Just got my grades back...damn! I thought I messed up, but I didn't think it was *that* bad. Ended up with .6 below my cumulative. Sooo....ya say the med schools definitely don't want grades, eh 🙂 --Trek

If they don't ask for them, you don't have to give them the grades. However almost every school wants a final transcript before you matriculate. One school told me if the grades are considerably lower than grades previously than they can yank the acceptance away.
That said, as you know lots of us have at least one bad smester. Maybe this semester was bad for you due to the stress from the application process, 2ndaries, interviews, etc.

Not really stress, I just didn't care. Like md2be, I had a severe case, and by the end of the semester it was too late to make a comeback. I thought my thesis advisor would give me some love cos I told him I wrote my 25 page thesis in one night, but even he screwed me! See if I acknowledge his ass when it comes time to present 🙂 But i don't really care- the only thing if it drops too low I will be waiting an extra long time at graduation as I'll be in the alphabetical section !! i really feel for you. I was in the same boat as you this last semester and would have suffered similarly, but my PI gave me a HUGE break-- he didn't even make me write a thesis. Crazy, eh? Since we will get published this next spring, he said he's content with my performance and will have me write a small part of the paper as a substitute for my thesis. --Like i know how to write a paper at that level! I had no objections though. Still, I hate hearing of other students with prick PI's. Sorry to hear it trek.
