Hello all,
I apologize in advance for having posted this already in the low GPA thread, I'm just really unsure and just could really use some advice on my plan of action. I've spent days reading different threads, and still cannot decide the best route. I recently graduated from a public institution in my home state with a Microbiology degree. I am also a URM.
My current stats:
uGPA: 3.06
sGPA: 2.77
no MCAT as of yet.
I was recently accepted to the Rutgers MBS, and am currently waiting to hear back from the Drexel MSP, UPenn SSP, HES, RFU, USF and an MPH at my undergrad institution. However, after spending some time on the threads, I'm thinking that perhaps the best plan of action would be to take some upper level sciences courses (possibly at UPenn or HES) to build up my sGPA, study for the MCAT, and then do a formal SMP. How does this plan sound? Rather, would it be better to pursue the Rutgers MBS, study for the MCAT, and then apply to med school? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!
