UHS housing-esp in KU Med area

Hi:
After much trepidation about where to go, I will be attending UHS this fall. I was wondering if anyone could inform me about good places to live near the KU med center since my wife will be working there? What's the rent like? Thanks in advance.

Try looking in Roeland Park, KS and Mission,KS. Nice, inexpensive,great location. Safe too.

The areas immediately around KU med center are nice...I had several friends that lived in that area in our 2nd year. Also Brookside is 5-10 minutes from KU med, and is a wonderful neighborhood.
